Proof of Heaven: A Neurosurgeon’s Journey into the Afterlife

Published: 2012
My Comments:
As its name implies, this book provides scientific evidence, from a first-hand account of a scientist, of the existence of an afterlife. WOW!
For those who look to science to validate new discoveries … like me … this is the gold standard! Written by not just any scientist … but by a Harvard-trained neurosurgeon … someone who studies and fixes the brain for a living. Amazing!
This book validated everything I’d been reading and learning about the Bigger Picture … I felt like shouting it from the rooftops.
It’s a fascinating recounting of Eben Alexander’s near-death experience when he essentially “loses” the primary layer of his brain … the one that makes us human … the one science tells us produces consciousness.
While his brain was “offline,” he experiences a journey that should have been impossible. Given up for dead, he miraculously survives … determined to share what he discovered.
Eben Alexander reveals how his journey proves … scientifically … that consciousness is not located in the brain, and is actually the reality of who we are.
He shares his discovery that an intelligent energy (“Creator”) exists … we are all connected … and that love is the foundation of all.
Eben Alexander was so profoundly impacted by this experience that he has gone on to make the sharing of these discoveries his life’s work. (See Inner Sanctum Center)
Although this book includes the medical details necessary to support the validity of his experience, it is nevertheless a fascinating story, a quick read, and generally quite easy to follow.
If scientific proof of the afterlife intrigues you, then this book is a must-read.
